The S.A.I.N.T.S. Trust is an independent trust that began in 1986 for the sole purpose of supporting St. Anthony School in Dalhart, Texas. Income from the Trust’s corpus is distributed annually to the School for operating support to help ensure the existence of the school forever. The founding trustees were Shay Gallo, Harlon Gaskill, and Erma Skalsky. The current Trustees are Erma Skalsky, Rita Gergen, Dean Graham, Jenny McDaniel, Peter Priestly, and Charlotte Strafuss. Fr. Lawrence John serves as Spiritual Director of the Trust. The trustees express their deepest gratitude to the late Msgr. Raymond Crosier for his dedication as Spiritual Director since the S.A.I.N.T.S. Trust’s inception.

 

This year, the S.A.I.N.T.S. Trust celebrates its 33rd Anniversary of providing support to St. Anthony School—over $1,319,000 has been distributed to the School since the beginning.  In the past, the School could not operate without the annual trust disbursements, and this continues to be the case.  Because one of the primary ministries of the School is to offer Catholic education to students at an affordable tuition rate, the Trust plays an instrumental role in this ministry. 

 

Gifts of any amount can be made to the Trust in memory or in honor of a loved one.  Deceased members are remembered in Masses in November of each year; and benefactors are remembered in Masses the first Friday of each month.  Donations to the trust can be made for birthdays, anniversaries, special occasions such as confirmations, funerals, retirements, Christmas and Easter.  Donations through an individual’s will can have a significant impact, as well as gifts of land and stocks.

The Trustees have set a goal to bring the Trust from $1.4M to $2.5M over the next 5 years.  If you are interested in helping us meet that goal, donations can be made online, or can be mailed in with the pledge and donation card found on this site. Together we can position St. Anthony School to prosper in their endeavor to provide a strong Catholic education for the youth of our community.
